Frequently asked questions

Can I embed this form on my website?

Yes. In Google Forms, click Send → the embed icon (< >) and copy the iframe code. Paste it into any webpage. You can adjust the width and height to fit your layout.

How do I analyse the results?

Google Forms automatically generates summary charts. For deeper analysis, link to Google Sheets and use pivot tables, filters, or AVERAGE/COUNTIF formulas to segment by product, rating, or date.

Can I make all fields optional to increase response rates?

Yes. Toggle the 'Required' switch off for any field. Research generally shows shorter, optional forms get higher completion rates — consider keeping only the overall satisfaction and open-text fields as required.

How do I trigger a follow-up with unhappy customers?

Use Zapier or AppScript to monitor the linked Google Sheet. When a rating of 1 or 2 appears, trigger an email alert to your support team so they can reach out proactively.

Can I run this survey after every transaction automatically?

Yes. Use Zapier or Make to connect your order management system to Google Forms. When an order is fulfilled, automatically send the customer a pre-filled form link with their order details.

How do I prevent the same customer from submitting multiple times?

In Google Forms settings, enable 'Limit to 1 response'. This requires the respondent to be signed in to a Google account. For anonymous surveys, multiple submissions can't be fully prevented natively.
